Why join a club?

With UVU's club rush happening this Wednesday and Thursday (Jan. 11th & 12th) we thought it important to bring up some reasons why you should join a club!

UVU has 100+ clubs! This means there's a very high chance at least one club will interest you. If you're still on the fence about joining a club here's 4 reasons you should consider:

1. Joining a club helps improve your people skills

• By participating in a club you develop and broaden your ability to communicate with others as well as your work ethic. You could also use this experience to build up your leadership skills.

2. It helps you network

• Networking is essential in any career. Often clubs have this in mind and will plan activities to help you in your future profession. Being a part of a club can be a great resume builder!

3. Give back to the community

• Depending on the club you join, it can provide many service/volunteer opportunities. This is a great chance to work with others, build up your community, and be a great citizen. 

4. It's FUN!

• Joining a club is a great opportunity to make new friends and have fun! Whether you join a club to build up your resume or simply to have fun; you ultimately get to spend time with people that have the same interests as you.
