Make getting a job a little easier

Do you need a job?

The Career Lab (located in LC 411a) is a wonderful resource in helping make that process easier. It should also be the first place you visit before you see your career counselor at the Career Development Center. At the Career Lab, you can walk-in anytime during their hours without an appointment and get help from experienced career peers with your resume and cover letter. The career peers will give you helpful guidance and edits that will make the information you are trying to convey to the potential employer much more accessible and clear. Also, if you have any lingering questions or concerns about your resume or cover letter—how to format a specific job, or which jobs are most relevant to include, the career peers can help guide you in that process. You can also utilize the computers in the lab to search and apply for positions that you are interested in. Since the career peers are in charge of approving off-campus positions for the Wolverine Career Link website, they just might have the insider’s scoop on certain types of positions that interest you. Jump ahead of your competition; go utilize the Career Lab today!
